Dubai:On the sidelines of the GITEX Technology Week, the Dubai Police General Command signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dubai Customs to enhance and improve the cooperation in areas of safety and security work.

 
The MoU was signed by Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police, and Mr Mansoor AlMalik, Executive Director for Policies and Legislation at Dubai Customs, in the presence of many employees.  

Major General Al Mansouri said the MoU expresses both parties' keenness to build and solidify efficient cooperation between the two organizations that benefits the society, achieves the National Agenda objectives, and contributes to implementing the Dubai Government Strategy in securing the emirate and its residents and visitors.  

The MoU paves the way for improvement opportunities of strategic collaboration and integrated organizational work by carrying out joint operations, benchmarking performance indicators, providing innovative services and implementing best practices in common specialities. 

As per the memorandum, both parties will open up communication channels, enhance electronic integration for completing their digital transactions, support partnerships to improve and simplify operational procedures and services for better and efficient performance. 

The MoU also provides guidelines for the exchange of experiences and forms joint work teams and committees to work on achieving the goals of the memorandum and organizing community-related events and initiatives.
