Dubai: Driven by her keenness to serve the nation with her all capabilities, Colonel Jamila Al Zaabi, Director of the Women's Prison in Dubai at the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Institutions, has not wavered to the Expo 2020 Volunteers Programme.

Since the Expo 2020 Dubai opened its doors to the world, Colonel Al Zaabi used to go to the Expo 2020 in the afternoon hours, after achieving her work duties at the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Institutions, to start her work as a volunteer until evening hours.

Colonel Al Zaabi explained that she joined the Expo 2020 Volunteers Programme for two key reasons, the first of which stemmed from her desire to serve the country and be part of this important global event, while the second reason stemmed from her passion to volunteer. 

"Volunteering is a chance to give and assist people, and meet people from different races from different continents ". "Due to wise leadership, the UAE is home to more than 200 nationalities from different religious and cultural backgrounds living within a system based on the values of tolerance, coexistence, acceptance and respect for others", Colonel Al Zaabi added. 

Colonel Al Zaabi pointed out that she volunteered in six different pavilions, which enriched her knowledge and information on the cultures of other nations.

Colonel Al Zaabi expressed her extreme happiness as she witnessed the keenness of a vast number of people, especially youth, volunteering at Expo 2020 Dubai, emphasizing their commitment and attendance to support and assist visitors. "They are a source of national pride for their country, leaders and families", Al Zaabi concluded.
