Sharjah: The Sharjah Government Media Bureau has announced that preparations for the sixth edition of the Xposure International Photography Festival, which will run between February 9-15, are 90 per cent complete.

HE Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), reviewed the final preparations for the sixth edition of Xposure today (Thursday). He stressed that the festival is ready to welcome international guests and participants at the 7-day event that will highlight the best of regional and international photography talent as well as shine light on pressing global issues that face humankind and formulate creative solutions to overcome them.

Allay said: “Xposure is one of the flagship events of Sharjah that showcases the emirate’s cultural project. The vision of the international event aligns with all the events and activities organised in the emirate. Therefore, we are keen on making sure that all preparations are up to global standards, in line with strict preventive health measures, to celebrate the works of internationally acclaimed photographers. We hope that the new edition of Xposure will be rich in the content it presents and guests that it will celebrate, and the issues that it will tackle to create a movement that will serve and champion humankind’s most pressing issues.”
