Dubai Police organises Security Awareness Workshop for Thai Community in Dubai

Dubai: The Dubai Police, in cooperation with the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Dubai, has recently organized a security awareness workshop for the Thai community residing in the emirate. 

The event was attended by His Excellency Expert Major General Ibrahim Khalil Al Mansouri, Assistant Commandant for Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police, Her Excellency Nanataporn laobooncharoen Acting Consul-General of Thailand in Dubai; Brigadier Saeed Al Ayali, Acting Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, representatives of the Royal Thai Consulate, and a number of Thai investors and students.

Held at the Dubai Police Officer's Club, the workshop addressed several topics in lectures delivered by officers from different departments at the General Department of Criminal Investigation. 

The attendees were also offered an adequate explanation of the communication channels with Dubai Police via the emergency hotline 999 and the number 901 for non-emergency cases. In addition to the services the Smart Police Station (SPS) provides to the public 24/7 without human intervention in seven languages.  

They were familiarised with the "Police Eye" service that aims to encourage community members to maintain security, reduce crime, and report illegal activities and abuses. In addition, the attendees also learnt about the e-crime platform that enables members of society to report cybercrimes and other suspicious cyberspace activities.
