Dubai Police Organise Workshop for Forensic and Punitive Sectors

Dubai: Major General Ahmad Thani bin Ghalita, Director of the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology, inaugurated a workshop for officers of both the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology and the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishment to generate future ideas, innovations and recommendations that support the "Strategic Plan Update for Dubai Police 2024-2033. 

The inauguration took place in the presence of Brigadier Sheikh Mohammad Abdulla Al Mualla, Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering at Dubai Police; Brigadier Marwan Julfar, Director of the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments; Brigadier Salah Bu Asaibah, Deputy Director of the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments Brigadier Khalid Bin Muwaiza, Acting-Deputy Director of the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology; Brigadier Abdulla Saif Al Mehairi, Deputy Director of the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology Administration Affairs, along with several officers.


Bin Ghalita emphasised that the workshop plays a pivotal role in discussing ideas and visions that aim to elevate work mechanisms at both the emirate of Dubai and Dubai Police level and deliver the best services to the community with ease in line with the rapid and successive developments in technology, digitisation and other fields.

Bin Ghalita indicated that the "Strategic Focus Group Workshop" discusses the broader objective of brainstorming ideas, innovations, and future-oriented visions to support the strategic plan update for Dubai Police 2024-2033, which aims to tackle the fundamental challenges faced in policing work, devise innovative and suitable solutions, and explore emerging trends to actualise the Dubai Police's vision of achieving excellence and leadership at both local and global levels.

During the workshop, the participants were briefed about the workshop's purpose and the tools employed for generating future ideas. These discussions will boost the strategic plan for Dubai Police 2024-2033, focusing on future horizons and visions and culminating in actionable recommendations to support the strategy.
