Dubai Police celebrate Employee\'s Daughter\'s Achievement for Enrollment in Inclusive Schools
Dubai: The People of Determination Empowerment Council of Dubai Police celebrated the graduation of 5-year-old Hoor Majid Matar from the rehabilitation and therapeutic program at Sanad Village.
 
Hoor Matar is now set to enroll in inclusive schools in Dubai for the upcoming academic year after successfully completing all stages of training and rehabilitation at Sanad Village and overcoming various challenges associated with her disabilities.
 
The celebration was part of the closing ceremony for several graduates from Sanad Village who completed their academic year. The event was attended by Ms. Samira Thabet, a People of Determination Empowerment Council member, who highlighted Dubai Police's unwavering commitment to supporting and empowering people of determination in diverse fields. “This initiative exemplifies Dubai Police's ongoing efforts to cultivate a caring and inclusive community, integrating people of determination into various sectors, including sports,” she said.
 
Ms.Samira Thabet stated, "Today, we celebrate the remarkable success story of 5-year-old Hoor Majid Matar. With her unwavering determination, the support of her family, the dedicated efforts of the Sanad Village team, and significant assistance from Dubai Police, she has overcome her challenges and completed her rehabilitation program to embark on a new journey in inclusive schools in Dubai."
 
Meanwhile, Captain Majid Matar Andiz, Hoor's father, expressed immense pride and joy at his daughter's qualification to join inclusive schools in Dubai. He highlighted the vital support from Dubai Police, represented by the Dubai Police Medical Committee, the People of Determination Empowerment Council, and various general departments, which have significantly contributed to her remarkable progress in behavior and social interactions.
 
He shared, "Hoor was born with a congenital deformity and multiple disabilities, facing challenges in speech, visual communication, social interaction, and mobility. With the unwavering support of Dubai Police, she attended Sanad Village for three and a half years, where she received comprehensive therapies, including speech, behavioral, and physical therapy. Today, thanks to God's grace, she can clearly express her needs, has enhanced her visual communication skills, and has become more independent, actively engaging in various activities."
