Ampere Opens R&D Doors with First-Ever E-Scooter Teardown in India  Ampere, the electric two-wheeler brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, has released a rare behind-the-scenes engineering deep-dive video showcasing the internal build and test protocols of its flagship e-scooter, the Ampere Nexus. With this initiative, Ampere becomes one of the first Indian OEMs to open up its R&D and validation practices to the public, offering a data-backed perspective on how its vehicles are engineered for real-world Indian conditions. Tested rigorously across 50,000+ km, the Ampere Nexus embodies a philosophy of precision engineering, safety, and endurance.

With this release, Ampere becomes one of the first EV makers in India to back performance claims with teardown-level evidence, reinforcing its positioning in the premium family EV segment.

This transparency comes on the heels of a banner year for Ampere: the Nexus was recently crowned “Electric Scooter of the Year 2025” at the Bike India Awards, while March sales jumped 52 per cent month‑on‑month to over 6,000 units, building on a 53 per cent year‑on‑year surge in January.

As one of the first Indian OEMs to expose its R&D and quality benchmarks to public scrutiny, Ampere aims to reinforce consumer confidence in its premium family‑EV segment.
