Hyderabad: In a significant academic milestone, Chittarvu Venu Gopala Rao, son of Chittarvu Siva Rao, has been conferred the prestigious degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by Osmania University, Hyderabad.

Rao earned this distinction after successfully presenting his doctoral thesis titled "The Law and Protection of the Subscribers and Chit Fund Organizations in India with Reference to the Chit Funds Act, 1982." His research sheds light on the legal frameworks governing chit fund operations in India, emphasizing the rights, safety, and protection of subscribers while analyzing regulatory mechanisms under the Chit Funds Act of 1982.

The university’s academic committee, after a rigorous evaluation process, declared Rao qualified for the award of the PhD in Law. His thesis is expected to serve as a valuable reference for policymakers, legal practitioners, and financial institutions involved in the chit fund sector.
