Dubai Police conclude the Fifth Edition of the Esports Tournament

Dubai: Dubai Police successfully concluded the fifth edition of the Esports Tournament at the Dubai Police Officers Club, featuring enthusiastic participation of over 1,500 players representing various nationalities, including international competitors, who competed in eight exciting competitions.
With a total prize pool of AED 200,000, the tournament welcomed both male and female participants aged 10 to 35 from August 14 to 17, showcasing remarkable talent and sportsmanship.
The closing ceremony of the tournament was attended by His Excellency Major General Dr. Mohammed Issa Al Adhab, Acting Director of the General Department of Logistic Support; Brigadier Dr. Abdul Rahman Sharaf Al Mammari, Director of the International Hemaya Centre; Major Abdullah Al Shehhi, Director of the Cyber Crimes Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigations; Major Adel Mohammed Hassan, Director of the Officers Club; and Ms. Fatima Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council.
Maj. Gen. Al Adhab commended the tournament's organization and accompanying activities, which align with Dubai Police's ongoing efforts to host electronic gaming tournaments. He highlighted that this initiative is inspired by the growing interest in gaming among youth globally. “By organizing such events, Dubai Police seeks to strengthen its bond with the community while delivering meaningful awareness messages, contributing to its strategic objectives of fostering a happy community and a safe city,” Al Adhab added.
Additionally, he noted that the tournament underscores Dubai Police's commitment to educating young people about the potential risks associated with electronic gaming, encouraging them to play responsibly and remain vigilant when interacting with strangers online.
Al Adhab, accompanied by Major Abdullah Al Shehhi, honoured the winners in both individual and team competitions. In the FIFA tournament, Muhannad Obaid Al Missmari secured first place, followed by Ali Mohammad Ibrahim in second and Ahmad Saeed Al Suwaidi in third.
In the Dota 2 competition, the ‘Axe Mena’ team claimed the top prize, with the ‘Awol’ team finishing second and the ‘Shawarma Pelman’ team third. Meanwhile, in the Valorant competition, the ‘SOS’ team emerged victorious, while ‘Baz Esports’ took second place and ‘Fraggerz’ came in third.
Moreover, in the CS2 competition, the ‘Arab Esports’ team claimed the top spot, followed by the ‘POWERmix’ team in second and the ‘This Isn’t Epic Lan’ team in third. In the MLBB competition, the ‘Axe Mena’ team secured first place, with Orosuta Gaming in second and the ‘Shaheen Esports’ team in third.
Meanwhile, Mr. Zozef won first place in the Smash competition, while Khamis Saad and Zaid Kanaan secured second and third, respectively. Finally, in the Game Jam competition, Zaineddine Torchi won first place, followed by Azrael Fernandes in second and Pranav Dubey in third.
