Dubai: Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, today received senior executives of Nissan Motors, the Official Automotive Partner of Expo 2020 Dubai.

During the meeting which took place at Expo 2020, His Highness received Ashwani Gupta, Nissan's Chief Operating Officer; Guillaume Cartier, Chairperson for the Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania region for the company; and Friederike Kienitz, Senior Vice President for Sustainability, Corporate Governance, Legal, External Affairs and Communications.

His Highness highlighted the private sector’s role in the UAE’s development journey and expressed the keenness of the country’s leadership to provide a supportive environment for local and international companies to succeed.

His Highness also praised the projects and initiatives launched by various international companies to chart a new course for the world in various sectors. This innovative spirit represents the essence of Expo 2020 Dubai, where 192 nations have gathered together to generate new ideas and innovative solutions for shaping a better future for the world, he said.

The meeting was also attended by Her Excellency Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai; and Dr. Amina Al Rostamani, Executive Board Member and Director at AW Rostamani Group.
