Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief witnesses Graduation Ceremony of Dubai Police Academy

Dubai: His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, recently attended the graduation ceremony of 360 male and female students from the Dubai Police Academy (DPA).  

The batch included local and international doctorate, master's and bachelor's students majoring in law and police sciences.

During the ceremony, which was held at the Dubai Police Officer's Club, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police handed out graduation certificates to the graduates in the presence of Prof. Major General Ghaith Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Acting Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Academy and Training Affairs; retired Prof Major General Dr Mohammed Ahmed bin Fahd; Sheikha Hind Al Mualla, Deputy Director of the Higher Colleges of Technology Complex for Career Development and Knowledge Economy; HE Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council; Dubai Police Assistant Commandants; Prof. Brigadier Muhammad Butti Al Shamsi, Acting Director of the Dubai Police Academy, directors of the general departments and police stations, members of the DPA Board of Directors, faculty members and the families of the graduates. 

 Al Marri congratulated the graduates and wished them success in serving their nation, urging them never to stop learning and gaining knowledge. He also handed Her Excellency Counselor Manar Al Hammadi her PhD in Public Law certificate and congratulated her for becoming the first Emirati woman of determination to obtain a PhD from the Dubai Police Academy.
   
Meanwhile, Major General Al Suwaidi said that the Dubai Police Academy is a unique scientific beacon that has contributed over the past 35 years to the graduation of cadres armed with advanced skills and knowledge. 

"The Dubai Police Academy has become a leading and distinguished educational destination in the fields of law, security, and police sciences at the local, regional and international levels," Al Suwaidi added.

Brigadier Al Shamsi explained that the Academy celebrates the graduation of 360 male and female students from postgraduate studies and evening studies, including 44 PhD holders, 123 master's degrees and 193 bachelor's degree holders, representing the United Arab Emirates and countries of the GCC and other Arab countries.

Over the past five years, 660 Male and Female graduates graduated from the Dubai Police Academy (DPA) from DPA Postgraduate and Evening Programmes, including 76 (62 males and 14 females) with doctoral degrees in Public Law, Private Law, Criminal Law, and Security Crises Management Law. 

Meanwhile, 264 graduates (185 males and 79 females) graduated with master's degrees in Public Law, Private Law, Forensic Sciences, Human Rights, International Trade and Investment Law, Law and Environment, Security Crises Management Law, and Criminal Investigation.   

Furthermore, 320 bachelor's in law students (245 males and 75 females) have graduated from the Dubai Police Academy over the past five years.
