Dubai: The Dubai Police, represented by the People of Determination Empowerment Council, is continuing to showcase its cutting-edge programs and smart technologies that support people of determination on the second day of the AccessAbilities Expo at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Running until Wednesday, Dubai Police's participation in the exhibition also features various awareness, entertainment, and community workshops and activities.

Dubai Police is showcasing a diverse range of technologies and smart programmes that support people of determination, including the equine-assisted therapy programme offered by Dubai Mounted Police Station in Al Aweer. The programme underscores Dubai Police's commitment to societal responsibility by investing in the station's resources to support the community, particularly people of determination.

The Dubai Mounted Police Station has been offering equine-assisted therapy programs for people of determination for several years in collaboration with strategic partners, including the Ministry of Community Development, the Community Development Authority, and the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, as well as care and rehabilitation centres for people of determination in Dubai.

Moreover, the People of Determination Empowerment Council is also presenting a book titled 'Stars of Determination,' authored by Tareq Zeyad Qasem. The book captures the achievements and creativity of the people of determination employees of Dubai Police, shedding light on their personal and professional journeys, the challenges they have overcome, and the impactful and inspiring successes they have accomplished.

The 'Stars of Determination' features 14 inspiring stories that depict the remarkable journeys of Dubai Police's people of determination employees. It highlights the profound impact of Dubai Police's support to these employees, which has led to numerous prestigious international awards in both professional and sports domains.

During the event, visitors can attend an informative course at the Dubai Police stand on how to ensure the safety and security of people of determination during crises and disasters. The course is conducted by the International Centre for Security and Safety, a specialized centre that provides comprehensive training programs across various industries, to equip participants with the necessary skills to interact professionally with this group, overcome challenges, and develop effective communication strategies and optimal solutions to address their needs.

The Dubai Police’s stand is also delivering interactive workshops on sign language and effective communication with people of determination.

Furthermore, Dubai Police also urges the stand visitors to call 999 only in emergencies and to use the 901 number for non-emergency cases or inquiries about services provided by Dubai Police.

The Council is also presenting a diverse range of shows, activities, and programs tailored for both people of determination and the wider community. These included para taekwondo performances, informative sessions on cyber extortion and traffic safety, as well as lectures on security and safety matters. Moreover, the Dubai Police Academy band entertained the audience with mesmerizing musical performances and impressive demonstrations featuring the K9 police dogs.
