Sharjah: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) approved 745 requests for electrical distribution panels for new and existing projects, in addition to installing 109 sub-distribution panels and extending more than 121 kilometres of low and medium voltage cables, which enhances the distribution network in various parts of Sharjah.
The approval comes within SEWA keenness to provide the best services to the residents of the emirate. 4,589 mechanical metres were also replaced with smart metres in differemt regions in Sharjah, as part of the authority's plan to dispense with mechanical metres.

Dr. Eng. Hassan Al Zarouni, Director of the Electricity Distribution Department, explained that SEWA is constantly working to develop its services and deliver electricity to residential, commercial and industrial buildings in all areas of the Emirate of Sharjah, according to the best specifications, after completing the facility and receiving requests for permanent electricity connection.
