Dubai: Dubai Police, represented by the Tourism Police Department in the General Department of Criminal Investigation and Investigation, launched the "Safe Summer for Tourists" initiative, aimed at enhancing tourist security and instilling concepts of safety and awareness among the public. This initiative is in partnership with the Positive Spirit Council, the General Department of Community Happiness, the Crime Prevention Department, the Dubai Police Academy, and the K9 Security Inspection Department, in collaboration with the "MST JUNIOR" Academy.

The launch of the initiative at Umm Suqeim Beach was attended by Brigadier Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf, Director of the Tourism Police Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation, Ms.Fatima Bouhjeir, Chairwoman of the Positive Spirit Council, Captain Ahmed Al Fajir, Head of the Beach Security Department in the Tourism Police Department, several officers and employees from Dubai Police, and a number of volunteers.
Brigadier Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf, Director of the Tourism Police Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation and Investigation, confirmed that the initiative comes within the framework of the Dubai Police General Command's commitment, under the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the permanent Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, to promote tourism awareness. This is followed up by Major General Harb Mohammed Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Criminal Sector Affairs, in enhancing tourism security and instilling safety and awareness concepts among the public, in addition to introducing Dubai Police services, the services of the Tourism Police Department, the reporting mechanism, and communication with the police at 999 for emergency cases and 901 for non-emergency cases.
He confirmed that the initiative is one of the initiatives of the General Department of Criminal Investigation and Investigation, aimed at supporting the vision and strategy of Dubai Police in enhancing security and safety, creating a safe tourist environment, and contributing to enriching the tourist experience for those coming to the Emirate of Dubai.
The initiative included organizing sports activities and distributing awareness pamphlets to tourists on Umm Suqeim Beach, in addition to the Dubai Police band performing musical pieces and presenting a police dog show.
