Dubai: Modesh World, one of Dubai's largest indoor family ‘edutainment’ destinations, kicks off its new summer season from today, 1 July until 28 August, 2022. Taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre in Sheikh Saeed Halls 1, 2, 3 and the Arena, this beloved family-themed experience will feature a plethora of attractions, experiences, games, shows, contests and workshops to celebrate the 25^th anniversary edition of Dubai Summer Surprises.

Organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), visitors to Modesh World can experience thrilling rides, live performances and fun-filled activities. Climb, ride, skate, zipline, drive, create, read, explore, eat and more – the immersive theme park will keep kids and families entertained all summer long. Here’s a taste of what’s in store this season:

OPENING DAY CELEBRATIONS
Sama Dubai will be filming at the opening of Modesh World on 1 July. A special show packed with games and competitions offers families a chance to win great prizes live on TV. The exciting lineup includes performances from Dan Bolton, a dance party, a special celebration show and a chance to meet Dubai’s favourite characters, Modesh and Dana, in person. All visitors to Modesh World on the opening day can enjoy 25 per cent off all rides, games, and retail. 

ENTERTAINMENT AND AMUSEMENT
Inspired by the lagoons and mangrove trees, where Modesh and Dana live, the immersive and interactive indoor theme park promises to create memorable experiences, with rides, games and educational activities designed to keep children of all ages entertained all day long throughout the summer.  

Kids looking for thrills and spills will love iBattle. Using unique 100% connectivity signal technology with a target shooting range and simulator, iBattle will test players’ abilities to the limit. The White Jumping Hills attraction will see youngsters bounce among the clouds while the Diggers Lab offers little ones construction fun with realistic mini machines. 

New at Modesh World 2022 is the ‘Winter at Modesh’ experience. Cut loose and jump into a world of adventure, snow and all things winter. This winter park offers a winter experience in summer with a mini snow park and an adventurous inflatable course. ‘Winter at Modesh’ will also feature interactive shows.  

Need an adrenaline rush? The new Oasis of Colored Balls features a high tower slide that promptly lands kids into a huge pit of 80,000 multicolour balls. Families that like a bit of a challenge can test their run, jump, and crawl skills at the two newly added Modesh Inflatable obstacle courses.  

Youngsters can explore a giant bouncy castle and will have plenty of fun navigating the slides, jumping obstacles and much more. And little ones can indulge in a new soft play area with an extensive collection of soft toys and slides, and they can go for a kiddie ride on their favourite animal, exploring a zoo-themed track.   

Game fanatics can test their skills on more than 100 exciting VR and arcade games while lucky visitors can take home huge stuffed cuddly toys or win big with the newly added novelty machines. High-end electrical goods prizes are up for grabs - including the iPhone 13, iPad, Samsung Tablets and the PS5.  

This year’s festive edition of Modesh World will also launch a special kids spa pop-up. Beauty lovers can indulge in an array of treatments including fun facials, henna, face painting, special colourful hair braiding and other engaging beauty services.

 

WORKSHOPS 

Modesh World is home to fun workshops and games inspired by Modesh’s friend Dana the Inventor and her inquisitive personality. Children will get a chance to create unique bracelets at the Arts & Crafts Workshops with People of Determination. Diverse edutainment activities will be hosted by entities including Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Customs, Community Development Authority, Dubai Statistics Centre and Dubai Safari.  

SHOWS 

Modesh and Dana are always in the spotlight at Modesh World.The characters will join their friends for great live shows featuring singing, dancing and lots of fun. Specially choreographed Dan Bolton shows will allow children to get involved and become part of the story line.  

This summer, Modesh World will also introduce a Musical Fashion Runaway and Talent Show exclusively for kids and teens to showcase their skills. Judged by special guests from the entertainment industry, participants will go through auditions and selection rounds to get the chance to perform in the final of the Talent and Fashion Show. 

DINING 

All this playing makes kids hungry! So why not dine with Modesh and Dana at the new Modesh Café. It offers everything from cookies, cupcakes, exclusive drinks and more, all with a Modesh and Dana twist. Children will have the opportunity to graduate from the Modesh Baking Academy. This workshop allows kids to get their hands dirty and roll and shape dough to create customized Modesh and Dana cookies. For visitors that fancy something else, Modesh World’s Food Village is home to a delicious selection of eateries serving local favourites or international cuisine that the whole family can enjoy. 

Modesh World is open seven days a week, Monday to Thursday from 10am to 10pm and Friday to Sunday from 10am to 12am. Esaad Card holders get a special discount on the purchase of play cards.
