Dubai:Cresco Real Estate CEO Umer Shauket has been honored with the Award of Excellence at the prestigious Environmental Excellence Awards 2025, held at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, Dubai. The event, organized by the Federation of Economic Development Association (FEDA), celebrated visionary leaders driving sustainability and innovation across industries.

Shauket, a vocal advocate for environmental responsibility in the real estate sector, was recognized for his unwavering commitment to the theme “Sustainability is in Your Hand – Shaping Tomorrow’s Skyline, Responsibly.” In his keynote address, he called for a fundamental shift in the industry’s priorities:

“Real estate is not just about concrete and glass — it’s about communities, our planet, and the legacy we leave behind. Sustainability is no longer an option; it is the price of admission to the future.”

He urged developers to embrace ESG principles — Environmental (green buildings, renewable energy, harmony with nature), Social (inclusive spaces that foster belonging), and Governance (transparency and ethical practices) — as the foundation for the sector’s growth.

Delivering a strong message to industry stakeholders, Shauket stated:

“Profit is temporary. Purpose is permanent. The skyline we build today must stand proudly — not only in steel and stone, but in the hearts of generations to come.”

The awards ceremony brought together over 2,000 developers, thought leaders, and policymakers from across the UAE. It was led by Mr. Saleem, Founder of FEDA, alongside Dr. Samiullah Khan, FEDA Partner.
